Sometimes they r in leg sometimes in arms and this time in thigh....They appears mostly in mid of cycle and last for 2 or 3 days ...No pain... ..they look very scary....its difficult to believe hormones are causing this.

livedo reticularis?
My legs look patchy now when I get out of the shower if my legs turn cold. I've had all kinds of skin and color changes with my body. No way for me to know if it's hormones or something worse? either way, Drs have been no help. I've had to make peace with death and anything in between with all this.

Are you talking about senile purpura? Bruising that affects older people. It is also called actinic purpura. They are purplish red bruises that are mostly seen on the backs of the hands and forearms. They develop from minor trauma, even though it looks like the person sustained a serious injury. They are mostly benign and there is nothing much you can do about it. It seems to be worse on thin skin.

No dear...
Me not taking about purpura.
i am having purple patches because of hormonal imbalance during peri.
When i start peri purple patches appears in my skin mostly in atms and legs.. during mid of cycle then in 2 or 3 days disappears
Then few months i didnot seen them..now from last month i notice them again..
In few articles in Menopause i read purple patches is also due to hormonal imbalance... its Rarer symptom of menopause ..but some people face this ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
