Putting on weight

Hi everyone

Eleven days post op now. During that time I have been doing the

exercises as suggested, walking around the house on crutches (a lot) and am making good progress. What I have noticed though is that I have gained a few pounds already.

Considering I have hardly had anything to eat since the operation I expected to lose weight at first not gain it!

Could the weight gain be down to all the painkillers we have to

take? The ones I am taking include tramadol, paracetamol,

Codein and ibuprofen. What do my fellow hippies reckon?

I put on weight too David, I think it's all the liquid they pump into you, plus painkillers, plus the weight of the implant!

I lost 2 kilos at week 3, can't understand it though as back to normal appetite by then!

I seem to be the opposite to most then, I lost around 3kg in the first month, and then A couple of months later is out it back on, plus another 2kg 😂

Dietitian told me that muscle weighs more than fat, so it is more than possible as you are getting up and getting better you are starting to put on muscle weight, and that would be a good thing.

The trick think is stay away from the junk food.

When i looked at the diet I was given, I thought thats exactly how my grandmother would have eaten, NO JUNK. just really basic simple food.
