PVC improvement!

Hello everyone! About 3 to 4 weeks ago I started getting horrible pvcs. I had felt one here and there before maybe once every couple months or so in the past but just out of nowhere I got them constantly!! I am a 6'2" 26 year old male and I'm very over weight, have been my whole life. Getting these pvcs scared me to death, the first night was torture I was getting 3 or 4 a minute and it was very unsettling. I'm not on insurance at the moment (my coverage starts at the start of next month) so I really did not know what to do. After research I found that pvcs can start for SO many reasons. And so many people have said everything they've tried still would not make them go away which was even worse to hear! After doing some research I came across a forum where someone had wrote they had their pvcs stop after exercising 5 days a week to get their heart rate up. Even though I'm very over weight I would consider myself very athletic still, I play all kinds of sports but recently I have not exercised because of my work schedule and life just getting in the way. So I decided some exercise wouldn't hurt! The first day I went for a walk for about an hour and a half and my pvcs dissappeared for 2 days! They came back during the middle of the night very badly which I believe was due to taking an allergy medicine. The pvcs returned and I had not gone for a walk since the first day because my work schedule got very busy. So I decided to eat a bit healthier and go for about a half mile walk on my breaks at work and what do you know?? My pvcs have improved! I will continue to try and eat better and exercise more. I hope that maybe this could help anyone who is experiencing this because I know how scary it is and you really don't hear too many stories about pvcs improving when you're reading on the Internet. I am also going to see a doctor to get my heart checked out JUST IN CASE. pvcs have never really caused me any bad symptoms at all so I will pray that this has been a benign episode due to poor diet and lack of exercise. I hope that anyone going through this can find a way to improve their pvcs and get back to enjoying life everyday. I wish you all the best!

-Joey.

P. S. feel free to message me anytime if you just need to vent about what's going on, I'm always willing to listen!

That is great news Pen. I also am "obese" but have lost about 44 pds over 2 years. Need to lose another 60 or so. But , I have a husband who cooks very well, so tough to do. That is neither here nor there. I have had PVC"S for 40 some years. As you get older they sometimes get worse. As in my case. But, like you said, when I exercise alot. ( at least 5 times a week) they dont bother me as much. So, even though right now I have a bad foot and had total knee surgury this past summer. I do force myself nearly everyday to at least get a couple a miles in on my Garmin fit bit thing. But, I still can count on getting at least one or more as I settle in to sleep at night. I hate this , but most people do get them then. I am fighting my Dr now to let me lower my blood pressure med as it also makes me very tired, and causes me not want to move much , and I think makes them worse! I am getting back on my strict eating program tomorrrow ( today is hubbys birthday) Also only having a small drink helps . If I drink 2 or more I get them. I also take Magnisuim. And that does help. I am jealous of your quick wieght loss! ( you men are so lucky to lose so fast) Hope to hear more from you!! I will let you guys know my progress too!

I'm so glad you are improving . I have tried everything excerise included but so far I am still getting 3-4 ectopics a minute pretty continually . In bed is worse as I don't sleep well and I can feel every extra beat

Hi Gail your ectopics sound just like mine just recovering from 2 ablations but no improvement yet, although my EP said it may take up to 6 weeks, I have bought a mobile ECG to record and sent him my heartbeats I just hope I get better soon as I have been off work since Nov and would really like to get back, how long have you had this and are you on meds I take 240 Verapamil which doesnt seem to be working just now! I dont see too many people on this site with permanent PVCs would like to hear from you.

      Kind regards
