PVCs

For a while i have been dealing with all kinds of symptoms from headaches to acid reflux to trouble breathing to dizziness and palpitations, for the time being palpitations are what is bothering me. My heart seems to skip a beat from time to time also sometimes races from sitting to standing, i have had a heart monitor and it came back fine but they did say 0.01% of my heart beats were pvcs , (extra beat from lower chamber of heart) at first i was happy that i was not crazy and put a name to what ive been feeling, but now i am obsessing on why theses are happing. i cut out coffee, i am a smoker but cut back to 3-4 day (trying to quite completely) also had blood work, multiple ecgs, also did a echo all test came back normal. Anyone struggling with pvcs? They really trigger my anxiety and i am constantly worried when the next one will come also what happens if its worse the time and my heart just stops.

yes those are very common with anxiety. I have had them on and off for years and my heart is very healthy. I notice I get them more when I am highly anxious. But they can happen at any time. Your tests were normal and if your doctor was concerned he or she would let you know but like I said PVCs are very common
. The more you focus on them the more you will have. I found that if I take a relaxed attitude toward them and acknowledge them but then focus on other things they settle down.don’t try to fight against them or escape them.you’re going to be OK

thanks for the reply , I will try those suggestions you mentioned . I tend to listen to the doctors and trust them , then when time goes on and im still getting them i tend to second guess the doctors and start to believe they have missed something. 😦 bad cycle

it’s important to be aware that anxiety tends to make you second-guess things. That’s the nature of it. The best thing to do is acknowledge that you are second guessing but don’t follow it. That way The anxiety won’t take over.
