PVCS/PACS sudden onset

Hello. A few months ago I started a new beta blocker (nadolol) for tachycardia and frequent PACs/PVCs and episodes of AFib. I am 17 y/o female.  This got confirmed from ECG/holter/echo.  Some days I get palpitations PVc/PAC others I don't. However, the last week it's been more frequent. Today I have had 15. I'm not sure if they're palps or PVCs or PACs. Some are notably palpitations. Others, it goes like (normal heart beat...dumdumdum dumdumdum normal heart beat) and the palpitations feel like (normal heart beat.. stop..dum(thump) dum dum dum) I am a non drinker, non smoker, haven't drunk caffeine or anything that triggers it. I'm not stressed nor on my period. Is there anything that can cause this even on BB?

Hi there! (Xo) I do t think you can ever explain the why behind these Palos, skips, etc!! It can be anything honestly! An upset stomach, sleeping on left side, standing up, talking to fast, just living! And to be honest with you I have had them since I was your age( now 65) and hated and get nervous and scared every time I get one. I had a day like yours yesterday. Had about 15 ( I normally get one or 2=a day or some days none! )Mine can be painful or just a jump n throat. Now, I tried beta blockers maybe 30 years ago, did not help. I just got prescribed Metropol(sp) myself , and I think it is making them worse. But , I have to take it because I have had an afib attack(=oh joy) So, now have to take that and blood thinners. Now, I got a pacemaker in December, for Sick Sinus Syndrome. Unlike you, I do drink, but never smoked. Drank a lot when young, think that has contributed to my need for pacemaker, but , not for the Palos. Some people are just sensitive to them. Every one gets them but only about a third of us feel them. If you go to you tube, there is a doctor from York Cardiology who has done many videos explaining the how and why of them, and how to treat them. He is really great. Takes a lot of the fear away. Check him out. His name is Sanjay Gupta. I hope this has helped some. I just had one while typing this. Some people get thousands a day and live long lives. The few we get, are really nothing ( but can feel really bad , I know!!) Please let me know how you are doing!! I wish you a good rhythm, take care Mabel27

Ha. Agreed, you just wonder when it just pops up out of the blue. Aww, thats a very long time. Today is a better day with 5 palpitations. I don't usually get pain but the sensation, it sometimes makes me feel really sick and faint. That seems annoying, sorry to hear they didnt work sad I'm on nadolol (switched from bisoprolol) because bisoprolol wasn't working. Heart rate would race to over 100 and drop to 30 (not within a minute but randomly). Hope the pacemaker helps you. Yeah I heard about that and feeling it but if you felt the strength of the palpitations anyone would be able to feel them.  I'm not worried, I'm just curious to know what suddenly has caused them. Thanks for the reply!
