Pvd in eye and absolutely terrified

Hi, i know another thing on pvd but please, im trying to put my mind at rest and nothing is working.

i started just under two weeks ago with flashes in left eye, went to my opticians and got told the gel was tugging away at the back of the eye and to go back in three weeks for a review. i thought i would be ok and could cope but every time i get s flash which is 20 plus times a day i feel sick with worry and im extremely anxious about a tear or detachment happening. ive got a pair of sunglasses to help lessen the flash which helps but to be honest im scared stiff. ive done exactly what you shouldn't do and read everything about it on Google which is making me feel worse. i feel like all i want to do is sleep as thats the only time im not thinking about it.

    Hey Susan,

I am sorry for what's happening with you, but I have a question do you get sparkles of light when you look at the bright objects for example: flashlight of your phone. Even I am facing the same issues. But everything will get right.

    my name is Kenn Smith.

I have been suffering with PVD/eye floaters for a year and 2 months, seen 15 specialist. I've been told, it because of my age, I'm 59, and that the only thing that can help me is eye surgeon. The thing to first realize is your not going blind, the second thing, the thing to first realize is your not going blind, the second thing, eye specialists have no idea what going on. Try to stay as calm as you can. Do slow breathing, drink plenty of water, pray......
