Pytiriasis rosea soooo depressing

I never leave reviews or anything but I tried everything to try and get rid of these rash like spots.

I was diagnosed with pytiriasis lichenoides, but it is pytiriasis rosea for sure. I was given tetracycline, no use whatsoever. Tried detoxing lemon juice and fresh ginger instead, used extra virgin olive oil on my skin to moisturise. The thing that has made the biggest difference is Head and shoulders shampoo used as a body wash. I used it daily and its started to calm down after the second use. It's so much better. I took antibiotics for 7 days and it made it worse, also I didn't fancy yellow teeth from tetracycline antibiotic. So stopped them and went natural route.

I have had this condition for nearly 4 months and i was getting new spots everyday, it started in my legs with a small spot not a typical herald patch, I had that for about 6wks then it just spread like crazy. All over my thighs, torso, breasts, then my back and arms too.

I think it is contagious as when I made a conscious decision to try not to touch the spots they stopped spreading. I feel for anyone with this condition it really gets you down. I was ill with a bad cold virus then a throat virus and got cold again this is what has caused it I think. But head and shoulders all the way and some relaxing body oils too with lavender in to calm and heal the skin.

    Hello,

My son is getting over this. I tried 6 oz OJ with emergence-C X2 packets twice daily. We are on day 5 and his itching has slowed down to a snails pace, the botched are gone. Try it it for 3 days and see.

Hey Katz, I've had Pytiriasis Versicolor for over 12 years but I'm not sure if it's exactly the same. I've been using Extra Virgin Raw Coconut Oil and it cleared my skin within a week, give it a try, it's not too expensive and I really hope it works for you too.  X
