    Hi there Dawn39,

I have always gone by the MAP guidelines of 5g per 100g, as they always tell you that you need to have enought fat in the diet to continue loosing... does sound strange I know.... but it seems to be working for me.... anyone else shed some light on this one????

    Hi dawn

I spoke to Map recently. they were happy that I was eating 5g in 100g or less per item. they said to keep an eye on the total fat in the day as if you get constipated you are not eating enough fat!!!! They said you need to have 30g total fat a day minimum. Each meal should be no more than 12-15g total fat and the fat in any snacks needs to be counted too.

I am seeing my dietician tomorrow but last time she was happy with the 5g in 100g or less per item. Today is the first time in 7 weeks I have had anything higher and that was WW cheddars which are @ 7g in 100 but only 1.8g per bag. Ok so far. MAP also said you can eat 1 egg on toast ( no butter) as there is@7-9g fat per egg. It's all a matter of counting and combinations. Ring them because they were great and I'm on their programme now so they will call me to check how I am doing.

I have PCOS so losses are slow but my scales now say 8lbs off in 7 weeks. Every one counts and the tabs are a great deterrent!! I did up my total fat in a day and I do feel better. I hadn't understood when people said eat fat to lose fat but MAP helped me.

Good luck and perservere because tomorrow you could get on scales and the next 1/2 or full pound could be gone.

    Hi there

Am still newish to this and do not know what the MAP is? Well guess it is a phone helpline because of your input. Where did you get details of this.

Hope you are all had a good day. I just got told to stick to a low fat diet, no precise amounts given, and so far so good. Will start to check labels for less than 5% fat though. Must admit have looked at cals rather than fat content, though do try to keep fat low.

    Best Wishes

    Hi there,

Only started taking bluey's on Sunday, have kept fat low and had none of the orange stuff(so far) but have only been yesterday morning not really that normal for me. I read a post that said too little fat can lead to constipation.

Have had no guidance on taking tabs apart from eating less fat.

This is a great forum and have learnt lots from it.

Is it possible to have that number for MAP.

Keep up the good work everyone
