I have read that Cit also contains lactose. Have you ever had any sensitivity to milk/dairy?

I am mildly lactose intolerant, and get the same side effects every afternoon. Bloating, gas, discomfort.  Same happens when I drink regular milk.

Anyway, I hope that may have helped.

    Best wishes.

Since you've been on them since January and the stomach issues started recently, I think it's unlikely to be caused from the Citalopram.

Maybe it's due to a change in your diet?

Hi Maria Cita always affects my stomach and its never gone away its one of the few side effects that I have accepted. Peppermint tea, lacto free milk and watching what I eat helps.
