I've been taking Zoloft 50mg for months, and haven't took it in about a week and I've been feeling agitated very easy and feeling like anxiety has increased. Is it safe for me to start taking it again?

    I don't know, im no doctor, but if you were originally started on a 50mg dose, and yo have only been off it a week, i don't feel it would do any harm, im not saying you should though. If you are unsure, i think  the best thing to do is give your doctor a call, if you cant contact her or him at the moment, and you feel you want to take it tonight, phone your  local hospital, explain what your wanting to do, and im sure they will advise you or they will get a doctor to call you back. Thats what they are there for. and at least they will be able to advice you properly and you will at least have peace of mind, that either way your doing the right thing.

    let me know how you get on. Just call them now, it and they will just be able to advice you over the phone.

    I stopped taking my 200 mg a day cold Turkey for 2 months and then I started having horrible withdrawals and my doctor started me on 50 mg again so you should be fine.

    I wouldn’t stop medication you have been taking for awhile without consulting your doctor. It can cause a arrange of side effects and withdrawals regardless of the dose.

    Been on Zoloft since September 2017 in April 2018 I asked my doctor if I could start weaning myself off he said if I feel better and doing good then yes start cutting the pills in have to make them 25mg but at the end of April I got reallly into my head and mixed Zoloft Xanax and alcohol and I decided to stick on Zoloft till I get back on my feet and what not so my suggestion is get back on it and don’t cut cold turkey, always talk to your doctor

    It’s not a good idea to stop Sertraline cold turkey. I weaned off 150mg but had really bad withdrawal so I am back on 50mg. You could start taking 50mg again but if you decide to stop you must wean off slowly. I had terrible agitation off it so decided to go on the low dose. I want to come off at some point.
