Hey there Mike. Welcome. you will bounce up and down for a few weeks, that is normal. Do not be surprised by anything the first 8 weeks.

i am curious, how long at 20mg and who determined that was too high, and why?

I swear by Lexapro, it is truly a miracle drug, however I notice I must take it at the same time every day in order for it to be 100% fully effective. Yes I do have off cheese sometimes I just don’t feel right or feel like myself. I think a lot of it depends on hydration, diet, exercise, and sleep. I guess every day cannot be a perfect day, but do not give up on the Lexapro, it does work.

love seeing these comments. i also have had a really positive experience so far. ive been on 10mg for 4 weeks. no side effects. i had tried sertraline before and it was awful. i had so many side effects and then it seemed to stop having any benefit so i swapped and so glad i did as scary as it was to think about. ive a family member also who takes lexapro for years and she is so different since taking it. no side effects and so much happier and less irritable etc. hoping it keeps doing good things for me. sorry long comment!
