after having anal skin tags removed how long before you’re able to sit comfortably I need to make a four hour trip by myself in a week and a half my question is will I be able to I didn’t know how long it takes for the swelling to go down I was told to weeks today is my fourth day and still swelling plus I was told not to sit directly on the site for at least 10 days

i had a banding on June 12, and im just now able to sit with 90% comfort. Everyone heals different.

take lots of sitz baths 4 per day
I started to slowly sit on my bum on day 4 started to sit on my hip and then gradually sitting on my bum. takes time but the more you let heal the better the outcome.
did you get any creams to put on ?
I have like a compound cream with Vaseline which really helps. sit if you can just dont move around alot

HOPING RECOVERY from skin tag removal is much faster and smoother than the hemrroidrctomy i did in NOV that was pretty rough

Have you tried ice on the are . Helped me loads after surgery will take the swelling down . lots of bath then I'm sure you will be able to sit . I found this the hard bit . good luck hope all goes well

yes i ice 4 times a day maybe more and soak 3 to 4 times daily, pain isnt to bad definately walk a whole lot better than with first surgery seems skin is much rawer this time i guess different procedure the burnt skin is little worrisesome but not as black as it was FRIDAY! frustrated i cant ice directly in site because of bleeding still dont want to irritate that area

yer probably best not to put it until bleeding stops . Hopefully not long I got some gel packs for piles of amozon .Really good just wrap it in kitchen roll and put it on the area works a treat and know mess then just give it a wash and put it back in the freezer till I need them x

I bought some of those back when I had my hemorroidecyomy what do you mean by kitchen rolls do u mean paper towelss or something else dont want anything to stick to the site

yes just paper towel. loo paper isn't good so I wouldn't try it . just use as much as you can then hopefully swelling will go down . Good luck hope you get sorted quickly xx

thank you how long did u burn after surgery im having problems with that they told me to use neosporin on the area but it burns im trying vaseline now hoping that helps! hoping tomorrow is a better day im ready to ne brtter already!

I still use sudocrem after every bowel movement. And also have got a sitz bath and use after every bowel movement it's been a god send . It does take a bit for the burning to go I was about four weeks if not more . I still get the odd flair ups but not as bad as the blooming piles. Everyone is different but hope these thing help if you fancy giving it a try .Think the ice thing is great gives instant relief

Yes had a hemorrhoidectomy in February and a skin tag burnt . Doctor told me just to use sudocrem as anything else is to much . I even stopped using toilet wipes in the end as it was irritating thing . just plain clean warm water and just sit for a bit still you feel clean and helps swelling as well as the ice . I found whatever worked for me and am still following it and having loads of water and tunes of fruit and veg

Thank you JULIE, im almost wondering if i should had left well enough alone, ill be so glad when the swelling goes completely down and the area of burnt skin is healed day 6 today ouchy plus its my birthday hoping its a better day ! HAVE a great day

Awww happy birthday not nice thing to have on your special day . I was the same wished I hadn't bothered but as time has gone by I'm so pleased I did . And will try my hardest never to get them bloody things again . Hopefully you will turn that corner really soon x

THANKS ME TOO, I got them when I had my first son doctor let me push for 2 hrs my its been a long haul 28 years I had external ones and internal ones for I dont know for sure how long dealt with bleeding for 8 years or so! was left with anal skin tags that would swell that caused great discomfort! THEY say the procedure i had is nothing like my first surgery i should be fine in 2 weeks boy those days go slow when the hours drag by! BUT you already know this do anxious yo get swelling done and feel like my self again! its a mental game i think the recovery and much as the physical part too! Have a good day!

I try the Epson salt and oh boy now I can’t get it quit burning evidently not ready for Epson salt today’s the day I’m suppose to be able to sit ! yesterday I had a good day today oh my So ready for the healing and all the swelling to depart, Do you remember how long your swelling lasted and everything healed
