Question about excitement and anxiety and panic.

Hello Everyone!

I have had anxiety for many years. I was able to overcome it for a few years and resently it has decided to come and say hello sad

I have the usual symptoms that I know are anxiety because of having them before and talking with my doctor, but last night I experience something different and have been worried since. I was playing a game with a friend and I started laughing pretty hard and all of a sudden I started feeling weird like I was going to fall over and my heart started racing. I started to relax after a few minutes and my heart rate went back to normal and I got a headache that went a away a little bit after some Advil and of course the worried feeling.

I am hoping that someone will be able to help me understand if laughing or excitement at trigger anxiety or panic.

Thanks Everyone

    1.   Sounds like a low oxygen response. People are sensitive to their bodies can hyperfocus on lightheadedness.

    2.   Adding to that low blood sugar, or sugar spike can easily create that same symptom

    3.   Shallow breather’s, and those who hold her breath sometimes without even knowing, especially one in competition or intense thinking like playing a game. That would create the same thing. Then of course a strong laughing takes away all the oxygen... since laughing does not exactly give anyone oxygen, just depleted more .

This is the true anxiety you don't have to worry about. It's called Hysterical Anxiety and is perfectly normal. Even for people without anxiety disorder. Glad you got to laugh and enjoy your self 😊

Hey Dana thank you  for your response. I have a question about the hysterical  anxiety wasn’t able to find anything about it. So laughing to hard is normal to bring on a faint feeling. I almost felt like I was about to have a panic attack... anxiety is so weird

    Hi loving pink,

My dr told me that our body will treat happy excitement the same as bad excitement. I had the same problem when I would get excited for something I would have an anxiety .

Our body delivers our adrenaline and for some reason we have just become hyper sensitive to it.

Thank you everyone! You have all put some ease to my mind which has been very helpful. I will definitely work on trying to balance this. If you anyone has any tips that would be great.

I wish I could give you advice except for be aware of your excitement lol. Hard to do. This hysterical anxiety happens to me and I have to use my inhaler ugh. Good luck but remember, it's just your body throwing out Adrenaline and Cortisol just like a anxiety attack only during the times you'd really like to enjoy a good laugh. Good luck hon
