Question about period pain and ovarian cysts! Please help!

Hello! For starters, I am 28 years old and have been diagnosed with a 5.6 cm simple cyst and a 3.5 endometriocal or hemorrhagic cyst on my right ovary. My other ovary and uterus are clear.

My past few periods have been a nightmare. Last one caused me horrible nausea to the point where I threw up and the one I'm having now is causing me the occasional waves of stabbing pains in the right side of my pelvis. I've also noticed that I am bleeding heavier then usual. I'm terrified of rupture. Can I prevent it?

I'm currently waiting to hear back from a referral to a gyno but I am driving myself mad with intense worry. Are these symptoms normal? What can I do to soothe them till I get seen? Any advice would be wonderful and greatly appreciated!
