Question about surgery when you're skinny fat

Hi! I'm 31 and i'm probably going to have leg surgery due to atherosclerosis in the coming weeks, but I do have a concern.

See, I'm clinically underweight. I have extremely low muscle mass and high bodyfat as a result from an eating disorder and not exercising enough due to mental health issues. Will i be fine or is it likely that my weight will come up as an issue or do you reckon I'll be able to get the go ahead to have surgery?

It will all depend on your risk assessment that should be done before your surgery. You will be weighed, your height measured, blood taken, BP taken etc etc. If those assessments are ok then your surgery can go ahead.

No surgeon would want to risk any sort of procedure if the outcome would not be good.

I'm sure your surgeon has already seen you and decided you are OK but its those last minute checks that are crucial.
