Question for ladies who’ve had UFE

Hi,

I had UFE a week ago today. Everything seems to have gone fine and I'll mist likely write about my experience in a different post. Starting yesterday, however, i started to experience really intense occasional intestinal shooting pains. I'm wondering if any of you ladies experienced this. I'm able to go to the bathroom but at times i have these shooting pains that make me stand straight up if I'm sitting. I feel like my intestines and uterus are fighting it out in there. I'm sure it's due in part to uterus inflammation but if it continues tomorrow I suppose I'll call the doctor. Thanks for your input ladies.

    Hi Jess,

Yes, it's common...for me too at least.

I can't say exactly what it is but I notice I get them when I'm having shrinking spurts with the fibroids. The shooting pains started 1 day after the UFE and hasn't stopped since.

Its 6 months since I had the UFE and I still get them. At this point I'm having A LOT of shrinking on my right side and the shooting pains/cramps/soreness/bloating are terrible! The fibroids are around my belly button too and yes, I'm even getting shooting pains in my belly button!

Oh no, im so sorry to hear about your pain! But it is good to know that its not just me. Some of the pain stopped for me at around the 3rd week though I made the mistake of going to a zumba class this past week which resulted in all sorts of pain afterwards. To top it off i got my 1st period since i had the procedure and the pain/cramping was intense. I actually had to leave work two days in a row. I hope it gets better from here. Good luck Lunar, we're all in this together.
