Question for the men about groin pain.

I am 11 weeks post operation for a by lateral posterior total hip replacement. My right side is a complete non-issue and feels as if nothing is happened but my left is another story. I have stiffness in my buttocks and days of discomfort overall but on the worst days I have a rather annoying problem and wanted to see if anyone else shares my dilemma. I have read posts where people are complaining of groin pain but my discomfort in that area is a little bit more specific. To be blunt, when my left but cheek and thigh are sore it feels as if my left testicle is under pressure. Almost feels like half my scrotum is being squeezed. It’s rather uncomfortable and annoying and I have to fight the urge to adjust since I know it’s coming from the inside.
Does anyone at all experience this? I’m assuming it’s related to the hip replacement but you can never be too careful and I will bring it up with my doctor. It would be reassuring however if anyone else has gone through it. Thank you, Brian

Brian not a man but could either be nerve pain or infection. See your GP or call your surgeon. Before I knew I had nerve damage used to get shooting pains and tingling in vaginal area. GP diagnosed it and I had a short course of Amitryptaline which sorted it out. Yours sounds like nerve pain if your bum is involved. But get an expert opinion. If scrotum is hot and burning pain could be infection.
After prostate cancer removal had to take my hubby to A&E due to pain in scrotum but they said it was nerves healing. Xx

Go to Dr, I'm 12 weeks out thr right side posterior, I had major swelling issues first couple weeks. All I can say, is I have had every kind of weird pain I can think of but nothing stayed the same to long. I did have some pain in that area but it didn't last long. Imo that part is more important than your hip, so get it checked out asap. Good luck

This is a very brutal operation, and your body gets shoved into all sorts of positions with varying results.
Bring it up with your doctor, you don't want to be living with that pain.

Hope you see the doctor about that and get it sorted out. Could it have anything to do with sexual abstinence?
