Question for those who have vertigo attacks
Posted , 4 users are following.
When you sit up, does everything spin 10x worse?
I'm having one as we speak. I woke up w my left ear feeling extremely clogged and I was anxious.
It has turned into a vertigo attack. It's not so bad if I sit straight up but once I lay down or lay down then sit up, everything won't stop spinning.
Plz tell me I'm not alone??

Thank you! These things are so hard to get used to. It's like I can walk somewhat but I better not dare look down or up lol it's crazy!
I see a neurotologist tomorrow so I'm hoping I get a diagnosis.

Endolymphatic hydrops - atypical Ménière's is what the doc said! Hallelujah! Took 12 years for this diagnosis

Good Morning
Back in Nov. Of last year I started having the same symptoms which got so bad that it went into panic attacks and several trips to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack. My GP sent me to an ENT we're I was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis And Ringing in my right ear which is a problem with my inner ears.
I don't take the medication unless I really need to because I have learned how to identify the symptoms before they get worse.
One thing that helps me with the symptoms is putting an ice pack on my neck, somehow it calms things down.
Get an appointment with your GP right away.
Don t get discouraged you will feel good again.
Hope You feel better. ????

Thank you! When I had my caloric test a few weeks ago and panicked, the doctor told me to put a cold rag on my neck. He said it helps immensely. Seems to be true!
I see a neurotologist tomorrow. I'm just not used to these vertigo attacks as it's new symptoms.

None. My ENT tried giving me prednisone 100 mg because he believes it's my sinuses but it's not. Even my CT/MRI showed clear.

I've got the same. Have you had a recent cold? You could have labyrinthitis or BPPV. There is a very informative discussion on labyrinthitis.org.uk
