Posted , 5 users are following.

i am not diagnoses with Hsv 2 yet but from my symptoms i am 99% sure i just contracted it last friday from unprotected sex with someone who didnt tell me they had it. i am sick to my stomach. i was wondering if anyone knows if having unprotected sex without an outbreak will still give your partner herpes or is possible to not give your partner herpes? i am hoping that when i find the right person i will be able to not use a condom and not give them the virus. plz share your experiences with unprotected sex and herpes.

Herpes can be transmitted with or without a condom. It is skin to skin contact. Go get blood test so you can be 100% sure

if i was you. ill go get tested.

im generally speaking. I don't understand why people cant be honest about if they have an std. please give the person respect and knowledge about your status. please give the person a choice wherever if they want to sleep with that person.

to answer your question. its treaky to say . if having no out breaks. can someone still transmit by having sex? some people say. they never had any symptoms while their partner is positive for HSV 2. and some others say . they been diagnosed with herpers even thought their partner didnt have an out break.

look just be careful. and practice safe sex. please go get checked even though your not sure. good luck and keep me posted. i hope this helps.

Hi Amy! I had unprotected sex on 9-1-19 one time with a man I was newly dating (3 times with condoms before September 1st and he performed oral sex on me 3 times with no protection). You can see my posts with all details. We stopped dating shortly after 9-1-19 and then I had him do a full panel std testing which he was positive for hsv1&2.

I did a full std panel, igg & igm included, at 5 weeks & 13 weeks post exposure and everything is negative. I've done a culture test on my vulva fissures on November 3rd for herpes- negative. I just went to the doctor on 12-26-19 because I had a vaginal tear after attempting to have sex, with my exhusband on 12-24-19 that I am back with & with a condom. A few people said my recent tear looked like their herpes outbreak but my PCR test came back negative for hsv1&2. I go back to doctors in 2 days for my annual pap smear.

I share all of this to say that yes it is possible to not get herpes BUT always use condoms if you're not exclusive and/or don't know you're partners status.

Don't be like me and waste 4+ months stressing, depressed, overreacting about every little sensation. We have a beautiful life to live and embrace. We all deserve to be happy and move forward from our mistakes. ❤

Through my journey my exhusband was there as a friend, support system, and loves me. We are now back together and our 2 kids are happy that the family is back.

There is love out there for all of us. My friends also helped me greatly through this. Make sure to talk to someone. 🙏

herpes can be transmitted even when using a condom! so there is more of a risk when not using it!

over the years the virus can be come more dormant and viral shedding will less! antivirals and condoms do help with decreasing the risk!

even though there is a risk transmisson from an infected female to uninfected male who have a average sex life, avoid sex with outbreaks and dont use condoms all the time is said to be about 4%of the year!
