    Hi

At 34 very young to have colon recital cancer but it does have more chance if his parents grandparents had it by around 10% but it's good he is going for the colonoscopy to eradicate cancer crohns etc

Red blood at the tip of the stool sounds more like hemaroids if it was mixed through it means it's from the colon mid it's his dad's step brother who had it it wouldn't effect your husband as its not from the complete blood line try not to worry

Let us know how he gets on

Same here...probably not cancer...but good he is getting screened at a younger age than medically necessary.  Good luck to him and post us back with the results.  The Drs. usually know once the procedure is over what they are dealing with.

    Hi,

Unfortunately colorectal cancers are one of the many cancers which are likely to be hereditary. (Was the Uncle a blood relative?) It is wise he gets checked and it is good he is getting a colonoscopy soon.

It is not to say, however, he just doesn't have a hemorrhoid which is bleeding. Nor some arterovenous malformations (bleeing veins) You don't have to have pain to have those. Let's hope it is just that.

If it is colorectal cancer then early detection and help is far better outcome than leaving it too late.

I hope for you both it is a good outcome.
