Hello,

I'm a 22 year old male trying to figure out if anyone has had the same symptoms/Issues before being diagnosed with MS. For about 2 years now I have had issues where my hip would feel broke and my legs would feel weak and I stuttered so bad I wasn't able to carry a conversation for about a year and it got to the point where I asked my pediatrian doctor at 19 years old that I was worried that my symptoms were potential signs of MS. He just said don't worry about it boys don't get MS that often so that answer made me get another doctor that was more familiar with adults. I saw him in 2014 of May and I told him my problems and he brushed it off and just told me it could be a pinch nerve in my neck causing my legs the problems and then after that said but pinch nerves in your neck does not bother your legs and still recommended neck therapy. My neck didn't hurt so I never went and just dealt with the issues until October 2015 I went to go eat with my mom and I went to walk and my ankle felt broke and then I began to walk like a person with Polio or MS. I went to urgent care and they saw me and were not able

to give me answers so they called the hospital and had the emergency room to take me in. They the emergency room couldn't find anything and the doctor on duty said that I needed to see my family doctor because it could potentially be MS or a disorder I had never heard of at the time called" Conversion Disorder" so after seeing my family doctor he had me put into the hospital to see what the issue was I had a spinal tap,MRIs on my brain, spine and nothing showed up so they discharged me after 5 days. I then went for a second opinion at University of Kentucky and redid all the tests and could not find nothing causing my issues. So after I went back to my family doctor he diagnosed me Conversion Disorder because there were no signs that showed what was wrong with me. So I was not able to walk for a month and still today it has ruined my gout because I can no longer walk heel to toe because I almost fall over as well I have to kind of keep my feet at a angle when I walk so that I can walk normal. Now still every time during the same month I can walk barely and if I go to a store have to get a wheel chair during this time. Iv read that usually CD once it goes away does not come back so it makes me wonder if I actually have a anxiety disorder at all. Because why does it have a certain time each month it comes back and not based on my anxietylevel. So now this month April 2016 even after still taking meds my symptoms seem to be getting worse to the point I'll be walking or seating somewhere and I can't move my legs or even my arms at times so I just stand there or seat until I can move. Other symptoms are leg cramps, electric shocks starting from my arm down to my legs,I'll forget where I am at sometimes " for example so in the shower and couldn't remember whose shower I was in" and it feels like bugs crawling on my spine. If any one has any opinions on this issue or can relate its gladly appreciated.

Hello, I feel fir you, I had hip symptoms in 1989 I was in Germany with UK forces and the Dr totally dismissed me so we git rid of our settee thinking it was that. I had a lot of health problems with knees and ankles too but was treat like a hypochondriac, I prolapsed two discs and after several years and MRI scans was referred to a neurologist. He too was dismissive and I cried all the way home after first appointment, I had the tests he gave me including head MRI and was given Ms diagnosis Jan 1999. I think I was lucky that during my brain scan I was inflamed. I wish you luck. My knees give out, my ankles and my wrists bit my new neuro says that and the hood and spine are not MS, however if you Google hips and ms it comes up. Don't have any sweetners, eat healthy and you may get remission for long periods. You can live with Ms and its easier once diagnosed.

Get your vitamin B12 and D levels tested.

B12 should be in the upper half of the normal range (doctors currently use a very outdated range for normal). Below 500 ng/mL can cause neurological symptoms.
