Sorry for the second discussion just a few questions =)

Ive been reading everyones discussions and noticed alot of you have been referred to a gynea i havent and im not sure why because they told me i have both ovaries covered in cysts and all they done is changed my pill and told me to go back in 3 months =/... Also can i ask my GP about getting them blasted or is there no point? I have tonnes of questions but cant think of them right now =(

Thank you for your help =D

The reason I got referred was just down to the fact that I had recently changed doctors due to moving away to uni, and my new doctor felt it would be better to get specific help as for me it's not just the case of putting me on the pill to regulate my periods. I have a very serious family history of blood clotts so this is really limiting the tablets I can be put on, its a bit of a pain.

I got referred because I told a little lie and said that I had been trying to get pregnant for a year. I'd already had tests for PCOS and they came back clear but I knew I had it because I had a lot of the classic symptoms. When I told my doctor I was struggling to conceive that's when I was referred and the PCOS showed up on an internal ultrasound.

I only found out I had PCOS when they had to remove a very large cyst and an ovary but had been backwards and forwards to gps for years previous to this.

13 years later and after giving up all hope (and with only one ovary), I have a 3 year old boy and 8 year old girl and never been on tablets of any form for it as was never offered them.

I do have other medical complications too.

Good luck with your appointment. x
