Questions about Cipralex

Hi. I started again Cipralex(Lexapro) after a 7 months brake, that was great. Then had one episode of panic and it all went down the hill. I took 10mg for 2 years before stooping and it was great. I totally forgot how it was in the first month and now i am scared.

My doc. put me on 0.5 mg for 4 weeks to see if i can mange with that dose, but it didn't help. Tomorrow i have to go up to 10mg and am scared of side effects.I had persistent nausea and headaches. No vomiting but a bit more anxiety in the first weeks. It was starting to fade away, but in the last 2 days they are all back. With that happening i am scared when i up to 10 mg it will get worse. Any advice would be appreciated.

p.s. i also have this bitter/metallic taste in my mouth most of the time.

    I'm afraid to say you are likely to experience those initial side effects again.

    But remember it is only temporary.

    Do you mind me asking what triggered your panic attack?

      To be honest I'm not so much worried about the nausea and headaches, as i am worried about them escalating to something worse.

      It's a long story about my panic attacks and i don't want to get to deep into it.
