Questions about hemorrhoids..

Can you have hemorrhoids that fall out when you stand or when you have to poo, but yet the hemorrhoids don't hurt?

I know I have a rectal prolapse, (rectum prolapses out of the anus), but also hemorrhoids. Was just wanting to distinguish between the 2.

Thanks!

thank you! I appreciate the answers! I do wish I Could see an actual picture of a grade 3 & 4 hemorrhoid. Still hoping that is all I have and not a rectal prolapse. 😦

      Hi Rhonda

Grade 1 hemorrhoids are typically inside of the rectum only. Quite often they go unnoticed, and do not bleed but they do itch.

Grade 2 hemorrhoids are also only inside the rectum, but they will bleed, itch and may prolapse. However they will always return back inside.

Grade 3 hemorrhoids are typically much larger, they will bleed, they will itch, they will prolapse, and would need to be pushed back inside manually.

Grade 4 hemorrhoids are the worst, they will bleed, they will itch, they will burn and will always remain sticking out of the rectum.

Grade 1 and 2 can quite often be dealt with via dieting and drinking more fluids, or even a small procedure called banding ligation.

Grade 3 and especially 4, will most definitely require some form of surgery. Be it a hemorrhoidectomy, halo or some other invasive procedure, that will be a painful recovery.

I hope this helped answer your questions. However, if you want to see what each grade looks like, there is a lot of information online, via Google etc.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I Know all that about hemorrhoids. . I really feel that I will be diagnosed with a prolapsed rectum, though I'm hoping its hemorrhoids. My hems do not bleed. Once In a great while I will have a drop or two of blood.

Thats it though. They do get very sore, and I also feel like they block me from going to the bathroom like i should. One poster above said she had prolapsed hems and did not have the blood, so I'm still hoping!!

      Thank you!

    Hi Ronda,

Both myself and my GP thought I had a rectal prolapse. Like you mentioned after every poo it would come out and for me just walking about or bending over would do the same.

Turns out it was two prolapsing internal hemorrhoids that otherwise coursed me no bother, not even bleeding.

I googled 'prolapsing internal hemorrhoids' then clicked on 'images' and lots of photographs came up all looking slightly different to mine.

      Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your response. This forum has helped so much! I have not had a doctor tell me , that I have a prolapsed rectum, the doctor just said Ok when i told him what I thought I had.

I have something coming out when I have a BM. But it always goes back up afterwards.. Except for once. Ended up in the ER to have whatever put back in. I promise it looked like a baseball! Then I found a picture on this forum that look exactly like mine and that person said hers was prolapsed hems.

I have an autoimmune disease, and fixing a prolapse rectum will be a hard surgery to get over. Not getting my hopes up , but sure am hoping its just hems. 😃

I hope you are doing well!
