Questions abt recurrence of shingles

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi, Everyone . . . i have had recurring shingles outbreaks on my upper left bum for 2+ times per year for 16 years. Typical size of vesicle grouping are size of a quarter to size of silver dollar with associated redness and swelling abt 2" around the wound. Come and go fatigue - really bad with my current outbreak.

With all that said (BLAH-BLAH)

  1. What stimulates the nerve to trigger another outbreak? Heat, sweat, injury (like falling or running up against a cabinet) or something else?
  2. I frequently have bad hip pain during an outbreak. Is that fairly common? Is it associated?

Thank you for your help,

R 😃

don’t know about sweat but you left one out stress and food like nuts and chocolate.

did you get the new vaccine shot one person said it helps with the pain but she still gets reoccurring shingles.
