Okay ladies and gents this is gonna be abit TMI for some so please forgive me..

I have ibs and have done for about 10 years. I only ever had the cramps for the first 4 years but after that started getting the “toilet habbit” side of things.

Pretty quickly I got what I think is hemeroids, never had an examination coz frankly I’m too scared and don’t want no doctor touching me like that unless it’s life or death but I’ve spoke about my issues which make me believe I have hemeroids and the doctor agrees it’s hughly likely due to having ibs.. the straining and constipation ect..

Anywho, after a while I started getting blood on my tissue when wiping which I checked with the doctor and he said it’s common nothing to worry about, then just blood on the tissue turned into blood in the toilet.. which I have spoke about aswell and he did not seem alarmed.

Well yesterday I went to the toilet and when I stood up afterwards to flush the chain and all that jazz, I noticed blood splatter up the inside of the toilet bowl, and then again this morning same thing happened, and then I realised there was a small blood clot on the paper abit the size of a pea or something.. now I AM freaking out, I know blood is ok because blood vessels and all that but GOOGLE says hems only cause blood on the loo roll.. so now I’m like am I dying!?

The blood ain’t real dark.. but not too dark.. no pain just stinging as usual..

So am I dying?

Has anyone ever had small clots due to hemeroids?

Please tell me this is normal..

Hi Forestflower, your story is the exact same as mine. I'm having a hemorrhoidectomy on Tuesday for stage 4 prolapse and several internal hemorrhoids. For the last year whenever I use the loo it looks like chainsaw massacre in the bowl. I don't even have to open my bowels now for this to happen. Just passing the smallest amount of wind makes this happen and I'm not dead yet lol. Best to get it checked out though despite the embarrassment x

Hi, what you describe sounds like typical Haemorrhoids, check it online Haemorrhoids, and check out online essential oils for Haemorrhoids, gives lots of info which one's are best and how to mix them, general mix is 2 drops of essential oil to 1 teaspoon carrier oil, the one's are use are Cypress, Frankincense, Tea Tree, Peppermint, carrier oil sweet almond, you just massage it on 2 or 3 times a day for a few days till gone, they seen to work well when I've used them.

Hi, please don’t panic. I had to have a hemorriodectomy in sept as the bleeding was SO bad, I ended up having to wear night time pads all the time, and I ended up severely anemic. They weren’t causing me any pain, but the blood, loss was immense and some small clots which come when the hemorriod bursts. I too have IBS. There are lots of things you can try before surgery such as ‘banding’ and laser treatments. I’m afraid you’re going to have to let someone examine you. The first time is awful, not painful but embarrassing after that you get so used to it it feels like the world and his wife have been examining you, lol! You will end up not worrying to much. If you are worried about the amount of blood get a blood test to make sure you are not anemic, it’s important, I had only half the red blood cells in the end and couldnt walk more than a few steps. Like you, I stuck my head in the sand for about two years until I was very unwell, I wish I had dealt with things earlier. Wishing you lots of luck, be brave and let me know how it goes. X

Thankyou for your comment. I’ve had blood tests since this stuff has been happening and it came back okay.

The bleeding isn’t an everyday occurrence, maybe 3 times a day for 3 days in a week at it’s worse- is it important to get checked? I don’t think I’m losing that much blood, I don’t want to get checked unless it’s absolitely nessasary /: because either way I’ll have to have some sort of operation won’t I? Which I have phobia of operations and staying in hospital or anything like that /:
