quick question

doubt this is the right forum but il go for it anyway.

when i was a child prob aged 5 or 6 i got very sick and had a fever over 107 for several hours and almost died, had convulsions etc and everything else i came through it fine but with one slight problem, I never told anyone nor had any test for this but i lost almost all my memory of everything before i got sick and had no idea who or what anybody was from before i had gotten sick.

iam 24 now and have a very hard time remembering anything, focusing, concentrating, and have bad head pressure all the time aswell as sometimes passing out.

do you guys think it could be releated to when i got sick as a child?, no one knew I lost my memory because i never told anyone so i never had any kind of brain scan/test after almost dieing.

    gosh will

can you tell people now? can you explore with people around you their recollections of your behaviour then? it might make sense to those who knew you?

i was told after i had gotten sick i was a complety different person, all i remeber is going back to school after being sick and not remebering who or what anybody was and having to re learn to read and write. as of now i cant remember ever being sick and have no memory of anything before getting sick.

thats a real trauma will...i hope the brain scan will help as gentle massage and careful chiropracty could assist with some relief for you. when are you going to book the test? or see a chiropracter first so you have some support.

by the way i urge you to ask for a brain scan now...your history will show up...there maybe an old laceration or scarring...you had help these things ...especially if you have a scan now.

hey thought id give you an update, went to gp other day found out i have whooping cough atm.. told him about the stuff above above and hes sending me to a nuroligist because he thinks i may have had encephalitis as a child and it got treated as just as major virus. he also thinks my other probs for the last 20 years could be simple partial seziurs that went unnoticed.

fyi i also discovered something crazy, everything i stuggled with in school is releated to one specific part of the brain the right front lobe, i just find that interesting to note.

All that I can say is if you are having problems that you think is related then see your doctor as you are dealing with new issues, but if you are with a different doctor than when you where 5/6 then tell him/her the same to what you told us.
