Quick question -- is there a way to search LS threads?

Posted , 6 users are following.

I'm new to this site (raging LS flair right now, first one), and would love to be able to search through the discussions for specific info, such as advice on vaginal dilators, etc.  When I use the Patient search function, it searched ths entire site.

Any guidance?  Thanks.

First watch the webinar by Dr Goldstein the link is  in New to L S on the discussions page for L S  you will find a list of discussions and you will be able to see which ones apply to you.

thare are basic things you can do to help ease the discomfort some what

loose clothing no smellies near the undercarriage go commando if pos. No soap dab dry after urinating protect  skin with barrier ointment, all body fluids will burn when you have a flare up

NEVER scratch or rub, cool the area with a cold damp cloth. Blow dry if too painful..use oil setting on hairdryer. Look at your diet - sugar is felt to be an inflammatory  foodstuff making matters worse. Keep your stress levels under control, look at mindfulness meditation - I am not an alternative treatment advocate on the whole but stress does appear to be a major factor in flare ups and imperial knowledge shows a definite benefit. DO NOT look at pictures or scary sites, while this is a tiresome often painful condition mostly you CAN control the number and fierceness of the condition when you work out what works for you

several find weak bicarbonate of soda rinses and or baths to be soothing. Do use your clone taxol as often as me dices suggest.no more than a pea sized amount smoothed in for a minute and a half, the 20 mins later use your barrier ointment Creams can have components that can irritate so ointments are normally the best, but again it is. What works for you. Hope tha t helps you get on the path of comfort soon..,we all hate this condition but everyone on this site is kind supportive and willing to share their knowledge and experiences

    good luck

All great tips and suggestions  and good luck getting sorted Sabrina!

Sabrina, this is a really busy forum. Nobody will mind if you just start a new thread. Otherwise you just go through the pages of topics and even then the few discussions there have been about, say, dilators might be buried under unrelated topics.

Good luck with finding a solution to your problem.  We all find different solutions.  I wouldn't be without a variety of cures so that if one doesn't work I try another.  My bathroom is choked up with various bottles of potions and lotions.  I wonder what anyone using my bathroom thinks.  I found that any embarrasing ones I swap the containers for pretty ones.  Makes me feel a little better.  Play with your diet and if you get stressed I have tried all sorts of things but for me anti-histamines seem to prevent too bad a flare up and I seem to be able to control things quite quickly.  Good luck.
