Quit naltrexone because fecal impaction--any tips

Posted , 3 users are following.

I started naltrexone to cut down on alcohol consumption. 12mg and 25mg doses didn't work. About five days into 50mg I THINK it started working but then I had a near-ER level case of fecal impaction. I am very regular and NEVER experience constipation so this was miserable. Has anyone else experienced this? And what can I do to take naltrexone but not get constipation? Thanks.
