Quitting 7.5mg of mirtazepine, but having horrible withdrawals

I have been on the low dose of 7.5 mg for over 7 months. It has helped me, but I can not stop gaining weight even dieting and working out- in fact it looks like I am still gaining! Mostly in my stomach ☹ I could handle gaining twenty pounds, if it came to a halt- but I have now gained 35 pounds. I have sore feet, fatigue and shortness of breath. I eat super healthy, so I am wondering if mirtazepine affects metabolism?

Anyway, I figured 7.5 was such a low dose I could just stop taking it. Wrong! I quit 3 days ago and today I got hit with horrible body aches, sweating, shaking, neck pain. How is this possible? I felt so bad I gave in tonight and took one. Anyone know of ways to ease the withdrawal symptoms? I want off this med, but cant handle feeling like I have the flu.

vets give mirt to underweight cats so yes it makes you put on weight, its high in antihistamine and it increases your appetite, try splitting the 7.5, i quit cold turkey a few times, it was bloody awful but i did it x
