RA help please

Do you think I should go see a regular doctor? I have RA I'm in the army but my rheumy is 2.5 hours away from where I live and I woke up today just swollen and in pain, I woke up swollen in places I haven't been swollen yet I took my MTX injection 2 days ago but I'm in pain yalls, I have it bad in right knee and left foot which makes it even harder to walk, just wondering if yalls think I should go see a doc even tho there not a rheumatologIst

    No. Go to the Rheum. You could call your  reg doctor-- probably need some prednisone if you can tolerate it. But if the back of the knee is swoolen you might need it drained> Why don't you at least call them?

    Call your rheumy first.  Tell them about the swelling and the timing with the metho shot.  But if there is anything that set off the flare other than the shot, they could maybe give you a script for a prednisone pack without you visiting.  If you think it is tied to the shot definitely go in.

    Hi Chris, for everything RA causes you will need to see a specialist.  For knees and hips see an orthopedic, for ankles see a podiatrist.  I am not familiar with England but you may need a shot of pain killer in your knee.
