Hi guys I've been taking sertaline 50mg for for weeks today and my anxiety is through the roof I'm not coping well at all.... never had the racing heart before but in the past week it's been horrendous it consumes me... I find myself shallow breathing could anyone tell me if sertaline is known to do this? It's quite scary I'm constantly in fight or flight mode at the moment don't want to see anyone as I get fidgety and awkward!! I'm also suffering with terrible indigestion my stomach feels empty all the time it's painful I'm always taking indigestion remedies to help with this..... does anyone else get this?

Please help and give me some reassurance that these pills will be worth it in the end because I'm losing faith a bit!!

I just want to feel normal..... thanks

Have you been on for 4 weeks? What you are going through is unfortunately normal for Zoloft and the 4 weeks mark. I have just finished my 6th week on 100mg and most of the side effects are just stopping now. So hang in there. You’re nearly there!!

    Hi There,

My wife is feeling very much normal now. She had same kind of symptoms untill 9 weeks, she is on 100mg zoloft

I was seeing graduall improvements in her during that 9 weeks in sleep and appetite but anxiety remained on the roof. After 9 weeks she is very much stable, doing all the tasks at home, looking after baby very well and now she is planning to go find a work. Zoloft takes time, sooner or later it will start to work.

Get urself motivated, do meditation, exercise, breathing exercises.
