Radial nerve damage

I broke my humerus bone,I'ts been 8 weeks now ,They said it's common to get radial nerve damage with this surgery.......My Dr never told me that this could happen

 When i did see him he told me my nerve was stretched..,My hand is numb and i can't  move my fingers,I wear the brace everyday,I As the weeks past i find myself getting more depressed.......i would like to know other peoples experiences & how to deal with this...

    Will it ever get better??????
