Rafaelo procedure for Haemorrhoids

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hi! I had the Rafaelo procedure done 6 days ago. I have no bleeding and the swelling swelling went down. I had 2 little balls the first couple of days but they r gone now.

The first couple of days I was able to have BM with no problem. no pain. just discomfort.. But now since day 4 it's excruciating. feels like a knife coming out.

also my anus is very tight. I can't properly go. I have pain killers but they don't work for this specific time.

How long until I am able to go without pain.

I just can't take the pain and I gave birth at home without pain relief! and it was a ride in th park compare to this.

Thank you.

    HI VICTORIA

I had hemmerohoids surgery back in JUNE and here is what happened to me :

    1. extreme pain for first 7 days . pain scale 12/on scale of 10
    2. bad pain on second week . pain scale 8/10
    3. pain diminished to 6/10 on third week
    4. marked improvement from week 4 on
    5. recovery ( total ) 2 to 3 months later

    good luck

I didn't have this procedure and I too thought I was a tough cookie. I had 4 home births and no one said every bowel movement will feel like the first after giving birth.

I would do surgery again. On week 6. Had trouble peeing and pooing for a few weeks. Just felt like nothing was right. I didn't experience much bleeding but had to make sure I stayed on stool softeners and drank lots of water. No push, just mush was my goal.

Much better now. Still getting spotting and sore weeping, but compared to the pre-op it is much better.

Everytime I go to the Dr, I ask. "They aren't going to come back right?" Make sure you drink your water with your fiber. Fiber can make it harder to go if you are not drinking.

    Good luck

Hi Victoria. I have never heard of the Rafaelo procedure so I had to look it up. I don't think many people here have had this particular procedure done so I doubt you will get much insight. But it does sound promising so please keep us updated on your progress. Good luck!
