Hello

another update on Ramapril

went to docs last week and my B.P is down to 117/83 !!

thats only on 2.5 mg.

side effects wearing off now.....I feel fine apart from a horrible pain in my right shoulder....but I think it's frozen shoulder, due to sat at PC -my right hand permenantly on the mouse! haha

no need to up my dose, but doc says I will need to take them for the rest of my life.

Apparantly, high B.P. can be hereditory....my Dad has it and my Mum said my Grandma & Aunt also had it....so I can blame them.....not my weight!

Thats good news, at least the side effects do wear off. I have been on Ramipril 2.5mg for 3 weeks, I feel ok on them too. My BP is down and like you require a maintenance dose of 2.5mg for the rest of my life.

I also take Mebeverine as well for IBS, and the two have caused no problems. smile

I have pain in my right lower arm, but like you, its due to resting my arm on the edge of my desk while using the pc. Must get a wrist support lol.

I dont know of any family members that have high BP, unless it was in some elder ones (now decreased) and they never spoke about it.

So it could be my WEIGHT !!!

    sad

    Hi azshara

my doctor said even if i do lose weight,it may not have any effect on my B.P.

SO I WOULDNT GO RUSHING INTO A CRASH DIET YET!

Though with all the rubbish I,VE eaten over xmas,I should try and lose a little!!

Thanks Miserymum. I have an appointment nest Thursday with the HBP clinic, so will discuss weight then. LOL. smile

I think its due to a number of factors, so I wont CRASH DIET yet. My weakness is sweets and cakes, so maybe cut down on them instead

But at least I have no side effects from either drug, thats the main thing.
