Ramipril 2.5mg

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have been prescribed Ramipril 2.5mg today after repeated high BP readings over the last eight weeks and an ECG which didn't show any abnormalities. I was advised to take these at bedtime, even to take on the first 3 nights when I am actually IN bed because of the speedy reaction of a drop in BP!!! Should be interesting! I'll keep you posted.

Hi, I'm looking forward to you posting again soon to hear how you have done!

I too have been prescribed 2.5mg after a bp reading of 171 over 111 and was advised for the first two days to take half a tablet at bedtime. I'm now on to one a day and this is my fourth day. I get a terribly light head from time to time but apart from that it seems ok. I have a bp wrist monitor at home and so far the pressure is dropping. Due to see Doc again in 3 weeks and he has said not to be alarmed if he raises the dose to 5mg. I wait to see!
