Random bursts of sharp pain

Hi. I had ORIF done on 2/19 and had a screw removed 4/16. Within the last two weeks I’ve been having random bursts of sharp pain that lasts one maybe two seconds. I am also back at work at a hospital where I walk over 15,000 steps a day.(Per Fitbit) and I was just wondering if that’s normal and it’s my body’s way of adjusting or if I need to go to the doctors. It doesn’t happens everyday or even every other day but I just wanted to know what you all think. Thanks.

It’s sounds normal to me but it seems you’re back at work perhaps a little too early?  Hopefully, you are still resting, icing, elevating after work and utilizing some type of compression (during work).  I’m 8 weeks post op and imagine I’ll be doing variations of this for awhile. I just got back to work last week and am part-time (I am in a air boot) as I can’t physically do my job  as well (I physically inspect houses-appraiser). I definitely couldn’t walk 15000 steps every day at this point ( I did before). If the pain gets worse or more frequent, see your orthopedist immediately.

I think the pains are your nerves telling yoy they're coming back to life. You seem to be on your feet long periods of time, maybe you can scale back just a wee bit. If not,I'd definitely advise compression socks, and when not at work, continue RICE.

does it feel like a stinging because before I had my hardwood took out I felt a stinging a lot of times but like a bee stinging you or something but now since I've had my hard work took me out everything has been really great
