The only thing that is out of whack is the anxiety. Having random thoughts like that are very common with anxiety. I have had that on and off for several years. i’ve had people from my past pop in to my thoughts that I never think about anymore, events, places,

Basically, anxiety causes sometimes a sort of rapid fire in the brain and things can come into your thoughts like memories, déjà vu, a person, location,. The list is endless. It’s things that are stored in your brain that pop up once in a while. I found that when I got my anxiety under better control, those thoughts eventually died down and I rarely get them anymore. So nothing crazy is going on with you. Like I said it’s very common with anxiety.

Have you ever had any counseling for it? It helped me a lot because there were things they told me I could do that I never realized and were very helpful . and those thoughts never hurt me in anyway. Just work on relaxing your mind as much as possible. ❤

hi thanks for your reply, I was in a bad place when I posted that first post however after I had a word with myself to stop fearing the anxiety. I'm still getting random places popping in my head which I'm not sure why but I'm just ignoring them and labelling them as anxiety based. When I'm not anxious I also feel weird which is strange I just dont feel real it makes it harder to keep stable and not anxious. I'm currently doing counselling it does help, thanks so much for replying it helps to know other people are going through the pain of anxiety ❤

you were absolutely doing the right thing by ignoring them and labeling them. That gives them less power and fear less power.

glad you are going to counseling!

i made the mistake of googling this sensation and saw that is can be related to certain types of short term seizures 😦 I know it's anxiety I just can't fully convince myself the images that pop up in my head just trigger anxiety

I get this as well, I told my Psychiatric Nurse about it.

Basically, I can be sitting doing nothing and then a random, unrelated thought that isn't exactly anxiety provoking but I would suddenly get this sinking feeling in my stomach and that sensation very easily sets off my anxiety.

The thought that happened today was: I was in a KFC with my aunt to get a meal, and as I was waiting with her to get out order I had a random thought of entering a 50s style diner and all of a sudden I just felt super anxious and had to find a seat before I passed out from the panic. The thought wasn't scary and doesn't have any subconscious relation to anything and right now thinking of the same type of thought it doesn't exactly bring about any fear.

It's really annoying how anxiety can just turn anything into itself. It always leaves me struggling to articulate myself because the irrationality of it is so hard to verbalise, it's just 'there'.

I totally understand you, when the sudden thoughts just pop up, although mine usually entail sudden anxiety and only come up once rather than on repeated occasions, it's just one of the quirks of anxiety and when typing it I believe I can rationalise it as a co-incidence of that pit feeling and your thoughts firing away at the same time, because it is all mental at the end of the day>

I hope you find some solace in this, take care and we will get through this!

    Kyle

It's so strange isn't it, I keep seeing this random place it keeps changing location too. I also have a headache which isn't helping I'm constantly scared it's a brain tumour or a seizure, what did your Psychiatric nurse say about it?

      Hi Jared,

Have you ever figured out what these minds pops were for you? i am having mind pops as well.

I have like a photographic memory , and random images pop into my head a lot. Sometimes it's your mind telling you something subconsciously , go to the spot you see in your mind look at it and you might remember something else about that spot.
