Random large edemas

Hello! My name is Alexandru and I am from Romania.

My mother has a very strange condition and no doctor can find a solution for it. She got into different hospitals and tried different treatments but none solved the problem.

She gets random large itchy red and painful edemas that appear suddenly.

The edema are preceded by a local itchy sensation a few hours before. Fatigue and sleepiness also occur before the rash.

Antihistamine medication have no effect. Only cortisone medication has effect.

The edemas appear on the cheeks, lips, tongue, larynx, heels, big toe and thumb. She is 65 yo and has adrenal hyperplasia, left adrenal node, thyroid nodule, hyperparathyroidism , and stress related background conditions.

Please help! Her condition is getting worse day by day. Many thanks!

    Does your mother have a high salt or high sugar diet? Could she try cutting down on both of these?
