Random Penile Numbness, Please Read
Posted , 2 users are following.
lately my penis and testicles randomly become numb, especially after and before having a bowel movement my penis is also cold. when I experience numbness my penis and testicles aren’t completely numb, like I still still feel it if I touch but there’s like a tingly sensation of numbness. It usually comes for a few hours and then fades but my penis remains cold. It’s been happening for the past few days. I should note that I have problems with constipation. I don’t know if this is related to that but it seems like it since these symptoms are mainly triggered before and after having a bowel movement. I went see a doctor and he said he didn’t know what was wrong or what could be causing the numbness so he just sent me home. I’m really frustrated right now and want answers so I can start getting better. Does anyone know what this could be or what could be causing this? I’m only 18 and I know this isn’t STD related or anything like that because I’m not sexually active. I’ve been having suicidal thoughts because of this. If anyone could respond I’d really appreciate it.

Hi tyson68406
We note from a recent post which you have made to our forum that you may be experiencing thoughts around self-harm. If we have misinterpreted your comments then we apologies for contacting you directly. But if you are having such thoughts then please note that you are not alone in this, and there are people out there that can help.
If you are having these suicidal thoughts then we strongly recommend you speak to someone who may be able to help. The Samaritans offer a safe space where you can talk openly about what you are going through. They can help you explore your options, understand your problems better, or just be there to listen.
Their contact details are on our patient information leaflet here: https://patient.info/health/dealing-with-suicidal-thoughts, which also offers lots of other advice on how you can access the help you may need.
If you are having such thoughts then please do reach out to the team at the Samaritans (or the other people detailed in our leaflet) who will understand what you're going through and will be able to help.
Kindest regards
Patient
