Random Vertigo & Visual Disturbance every day

Hi everyone,

I'm a 20 year old Female. I suffer from health anxiety & recently I've been struggling to understand why I'm having random vertigo.

It has happened on three occasions where I feel knocked sideways or pushed and it's causing me a lot of distress. Not only this but I used to suffer from migraine & smaller versions of aura keep appearing in my sight. They last only a few seconds but I have this every single day.

I had my eyes tested & it turns out I don't have a detached retina (my original thought). I need +1.25 glasses. The eye specialist said that the random aura could be down to my eyes straining but if the problem persists to go back.

The random vertigo is scaring me, could these issues be linked to my brain?

Please, if anyone has any idea, reply & let me know your experiences.

I'm going to go to the doctor on Monday to find out what is going on.

Is the vertigo you experience constant or only happening periodically?

What does your vertigo feel like, is it a spinning sensation or rocking/swaying?

Have you been sick lately in the past few weeks, common cold or flu?

Most vertigo sufferers usually end up with the most common cause which is BPPV, it's benign and usually passes. But you can get your doctor to perform a procedure called the "Epley Manoeuver" which can help the vertigo to go away.

From how you describe your symptoms gives me the impression it might be BPPV. I'm not entirely sure about your vision problems.

I suffer from Labyrinthitis/Vestibular Neuritis which is the next common cause of vertigo. But I experience constant 24/7 dizziness and visual problems with my depth perception, visual disturbances etc.

Your first step with any type of vertigo and dizziness is if it persists to go to your local GP about it. You might want to try push a referral to an ENT specialist if symptoms become like mine where they're constant or don't eventually stop.

For all you know you could be suffering from Vestibular Migraines which does have vertigo symptoms with it.

I won't try scare you into anything, but go to your local GP and get checked out, hear what they have to say and get the ball rolling for treatment and a diagnosis of what it is you're suffering from.

Anxiety can cause symptoms. Also my sight has to be corrected 450 in one eye and 500 in the other. I know that skews my balance at times
