Randomly developed a rash with red bumps, is it hives?

I've had a rash for the past two day that seem to have developed out of the blue. Started a week ago with tiny red bumps in the crease of my inner elbow but went away(started taking an enzyme supplement but stopped right away). Now I have developed more of a hives looking rash. I first noticed it in my back right behind my shoulders near my armpits. It has now slowly moved down my sides and to my inner arms. I also noticed it is starting on my neck. I haven't started or tried anything new that I can think of do not sure what is causing it? I've been taking the same prescriptions and supplements for over two weeks now so not sure what is causing the reaction... also have never had hives so I'm not sure how to treat it. Would cortisone cream help? The rash is slightly itchy.

I would suggest you see your GP for advice. Slightly itchy does not usually apply, hives or urticaria is generally more than slightly itchy.

Im hoping it's not chronic urticaria.  If you try everything and nothing works after six weeks ask your doc to go see a immunologist and take pictures when your rash or hives are bad so you can show her because they dissapear so fast.  Just make sure you mention it and don't suffer longer then you have to because i sure dif.
