Rapidly Growing Ovarian Cyst

I have been suffering from cyst since my late 30's. When I was 42 had a partial hysterectomy only removing my uterus. Every since then my body has been producing cyst in my ovaries. My Gun would have me take a pelvic ultrasound every six months to monitor them.

Here we are 5 years later a d recently I have been in so much pain on left side. Went to ER they day my cyst is now 8cm. I last checked in April it was 6cm. Since 9/9/17 date of ER visit to 9/14/17 S other ultrasound scan it has grown to 11×4 cm less than a week and I have lost 12lbs in 6 days. Not sure if thats from stressing about this or what.

My c125 levels were s 4.2 which they say is normal for being pre menopausal 47 year old. My Gyn says needs to be removed he is nervous about removing due to size and scar tissue from previous hysterectomy. So he has referred my now to an Oncology GYN. Want to make sure biopsy is done during surgery to test for OC.

Very nervous.

Try not to worry about it. I went to the ER on June 3rd because I was having pain in my side. A CT scan and an ultrasound revealed a 30 cm mass on my ovary. They compared it to the size of a football. I didn't have surgery until July 3rd. In those 4 weeks, it grew to the size of a watermelon. They never told me the dimensions but right before surgery, I gained 15 lbs in 3 days in the hospital. It turned out to be a benign cystedenoma. I am 50 years old. They did a total hysterectomy. Everything is fine now, almost 3 months later. I hope your situation turns out successful also!

I read your post and had to take a look at myself.  I had a CT scan done on 09/07/2017.  It gave measurements.   Believe it or not, I actually took a picture and texted my sister to show her 09/14/2017 (photo with pink pj s.  I just took another photo 09/28/2017 gray bottoms, and OM Gosh, I have doubled in belly size.  Wondering if I should call my GYN!!
