Rash and red patches on penis/foreskin. Please help

i've been having this problem for going on 3 months now. no matter what i try, these red spots will not go away. the rash on my foreskin just showed up about 3 days ago and only flares up after masturbation. the patches on the head of my penis have been there for 3 months and don't burn or itch but the rash/red spot on my foreskin burns when i touch it or apply cream to it. i've been using cortizone cream 1% for a week but today when i got out of the shower it's like it irritated my whole penis when i put it on. some days the red patches aren't as bad but if i masturbate they flare up and turn really red again. image

any suggestions on what this could be? should i just stop masturbating for a while in case it's friction burn or something like that?

What has happened is that your skin has become severely irritated. Certainly stopping masturbating for as long as you can will help the process of your skin trying to recover. I would also suggest not using the cortizone cream. Also, did you purchase this yourself, to self-medicate, or was it prescribed to you? What is the name of the cream?

To help the main healing take place you must quite literally exclude anything from getting onto the skin of your penis, and in particular where it looks most irritated. So this means even soap, shower gel, and anything else you apply to your penis - wash with water only and make sure the penile skin is completely dry after washing or showering, carefully pat dry with a clean towel that only you use - so as to minimise ant further irritation ........

i bought it at walmart to self-medicate. i haven't used it in 2 days and have been avoiding soap getting on my penis as best as i can. i've noticed the skin on the head of my penis is pretty dry since i've stopped using it and it's not as red as the picture in my original post. could this be part of the healing process?

The basic essential is that you need to return your penile skin to its natural state, this is what it was like when you were born. So the only thing safe to apply to the skin is water, then fully dry it.

Change and healing is not a swift process, it could take upwards of 3 to 5 months before you notice any real change happening ....
