Rash for 1 year, What could it be?

After returning home from Tenerife last year,

my partner had clear/ white circles on his shoulders with red rings. At first we put it down to peeling due to the hot weather. When we arrived back & a few weeks went by we thought it was due to Sun pigmentation as throughout the day they are clear. However, at night they seem to get slightly raised and red. Maybe due to the heat. It wasn't until recently that we noticed they were spreading and are now down to his upper chest. The circles are not itchy, sore or contagious, as I have not caught it. We are booked in the doctors next week, but I was wondering weather anyone has a thought on what this could be?

    Hi Sarahnbud,

    I don't know what your partner has but I'm so interested as my Sister

    seems to have the same sort of rash; at least from what I can make out

    from the photo you sent it looks the same.  She has been to a doctor and

    specialist and neither has told her what it is.  She says that they aren't itchy

    or anything.  They are just there.  If you find out anything could you please

    let me know?  TY

      Of course. I can't believe they haven't diagnosed it. Iv been googling it for so long & nothing seems to match. I hope we get answers next week. Has your sister had any test done at all?

      Hi Again.  I don't believe that my sister has had any tests yet.  I know that her doctor gave her some cream to try but I have not heard if it has helped yet or not.  I think a lot of these rashes are not too common and maybe the doctors feel that if you don't have any irratation then not to worry about it.  The only problem is that she seems to get a few here and there.  They seem to go away and then they will return again.  She has some on her stomach and also on her legs by her ankles.  I am very currious as to what you have to say after going to the doctors.  I believe you are from England.  I'm from Canada.  Just wanting to see if the answers from the doctor there are better than what my sister is getting.

      Well, i will definatly keep you updated & let you know any info next week.

      I'm hoping we don't get fobbed off with some tablets/ cream, I want a conclusion and if there isn't one, i will be demanding test. It's not the prettiest of rashes and with it spreading it's a little worrying.

      Fingers Crossed for a good result!

      My fingers are crossed for you too.  I know I would not be happy with

      pills and creams without a better explanation if I had it.  I already have

      health issues and don't need anymore to add to my list.
