Rash on foreskin and glan

I have been having a small rash on my foreskin since 2015. I've seen sexual health specialists a few times and they advised using warticon cream a few times thinking it is genital warts. I have used the cream in the past and it sometimes clears out these rashes but they reappear. This time when I used warticon it caused a weeping wound on my glans which took weeks to heal and spread the infection there too. I have gone back to the sexual health clinic again and they advised me it is not genital warts and asked me to come back in 2 weeks when the skin has healed more. I'm not sure what it is and it is driving me a bit mad Any help please ? imageimage

    Dear blozer,

    I think you may have lichen planus penis, which is NOT an infection but an autoimmune skin condition.

    Given the uncertainty of the original diagnosis (genital warts), I suggest you consult another dermatologist and ask them to either consider this alternative diagnosis or else to offer you a small skin biopsy to correctly identify the condition.
