I visited my GP and an STI doctor after a rash appeared on the head of my penis, as well as some areas of blotchy skin on the shaft and testicles. They seemed to think it was fungal and prescribed Clotrimazole 2%. I've been using it for a week and it has had no effect. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Hi Adam, knowing what your recent sexual history has been would be an indicator of what you have going on here. Particularly if you have been sexually active but have not used condoms?
If you have had guidance from 2 Doctors and this is showing no signs of clearing up I would suggest you need the help of a Genital Health Specialist such as a Urologist. If you are in the UK you can either go along to a GUM Clinic or if you live near a large City go along to a Walk-In Sexual Health Service and I would ask to speak to one of the Senior members of the staff. What you may need to do is calmly state that you have had these symptoms for way over a week, you have sought the help of 2 other Doctors and you want this sorting out .......
