Rash or (herpes) on penis head after sex and disappears in 10 min?!!

Hi everyone i am new to this forum. I honestly never wrote anything like this on the internet but ive been reading and looking into all possibilities and these forums seem pretty insightful. So here it goes:
I've been with my girlfriend for almost 2 yrs. We see each other often but who knows if she's been messing around. I want to start off by saying how worried and scared ive been for the past 5 weeks. I first noticed a blister 5 weeks ago on the base of my penis. Now I'm not sure if it actually was a blister because nothing ozzed or scabbed but it was small, so maybe i didn't notice? However even after 5 weeks it seems the color of a scab with no actual scab. Anyway, about 1 week after that blister (which was a day or 2 after sex with my gf) I again had sex with her and when i hopped in the shower i saw the head of my penis begin to break out. It looked like red bumps scattered around my penis head. It was scary. But the weird thing is after about 20 min post shower, it faded away to a point where u cannot even notice them. I told my gf about it and didnt have sex for another few days. We tried again and the same thing happened. But this time, the invisible rash looksd more on the scab side. It wasn't red anymore. But the weird thing is that again they disappeared about 20 min after my shower. Long story short my gf and I broke up and when i ask about anything std related she gets mad and ignores me. I don't know if this resembles genital herpes or not but I'm terrified. I get the occasional cold sores ever since i was 8 years old and they dont appear and disappear in a matter of 20-30 min. It actually looks like an allergic reaction. But that brings me back to the blister I saw 3 or 4 weeks prior that outbreak. I've seen pics by googling "rash on penis" and balantitis looked very similar. But I also read that balantitis can be brought on by herpes. Pls if anyone out there has dealt with something similar please share. Thank you in advanve for anyone who responds. I have fallen into a state of deep depression that I can't even concentrate on work...

Now I'm not a doctor or a herpes expert, but his does not look like herpes to me at all. It looks more like a male yeast infection (balanitis).

You're right in that herpes doesn't just come and go so quickly like that. Also, if you have pre-existing HSV1, you should be immune from getting it elsewhere (but not immune from getting HSV2, I should add). If you are worried about herpes, you can do the IgG antibody test, bearing in mind that pre-existing HSV1 can sometimes produce low false positives for HSV2. A swab would be better, but only if you have lesions -- and lesions that stick around long enough to swab!

It really doesn't sound like herpes, if that's any consolation. And about the type-specific IgG tests, just remember that a low positive in the event of pre-existing HSV1 may not actually be a positive at all. If you do test, I hope you are a clear negative for peace of mind!

U seem very understanding and empathetic. Thank you so much. This situation has consumed me for over a month. I'm haunted by it every minute at work, home, even wake up feeling like im in a nightmare. I keep and will continue to try and be strong if in fact it is what I fear it to be. By the way, did u see the pics I attached? Thanks again for ur responses. Means a lot!

Thanks, and yes I did see the pics, and no it doesn't look typical of herpes. Now, that doesn't always mean much, but better than it looking like classic herpes, as I'm sure you'd agree! Between it's atypical appearance and non-herpes like behaviour, I would feel better and hopeful that it's not.

Could you please tell me if this was diagnosed?
I would love to know what it is. While I didn't have sex, I appear to have the same exact rash. But my penis is black
