Rashes after shingles, is this normal?

My mom came down with Shingles on the left side of her face in early April this year. she is recovering with her shingles turning into black scabs, crusting and falling off.

However, yesterday, she experienced some rashes on her hands, waist and tighs. Doctor said its normal and prescribe her with some oral and ointment medication and said it will go away in a couple of days.

i wanted to ask to see if this is common?

    ask her doctor to talk about the shingex vaccine. i had it after i broke out from shingles. i has lessoned the severity and recurrence, hope she has numbing spray pain meds and anti fungals.

    shingles is a horrible disease. sorry your mom has it . its hard to watch someone close to us cope and suffer knowing there's not much any one can do.
