Raw, sore & at my wits end

I've had LS for several years & usually can cope with flare ups, however I'm currently suffering a really bad flare (typical it's a bank holiday so no access to my gp) my entire nether regions is red raw, sore, inflamed & bleeding, because its bleeding i can't use my dermovate prescription cream & am using sudocrem, but other than act as a barrier cream it doesn't seem to be curing the rawness, can anyone offer me a suggestion as to what else i can use instead

many thanks

When I had my biopsies done and couldn't use creams for a few days I used colloidal silver nasal spray so that I wouldn't touch the skin and inflamme it more, it kept everything calm and healed the biopsy sites. Hope this helps.

Hello, so sorry you are suffering. you are not alone and have my empathy.

One of the things that help me most when there is a flare up and the skin is inflamed is unrefined coconut oil. It helps to cool down the skin and heal it.

After going to the loo, it is good to gently wash or dab area with cool or warm water with a soft cloth. then apply coconut oil. it will soak into the skin so reapply before skin dries out.

I find useful to wear loose very loose cotton trousers with no panties or if really bad, wear a skirt or scarf as a sarong to allow heat to release.

Try to drink herbal teas like mint, roasted barley to keep internal heat from making urine acidy. Avoid deep fried foods, spicy, beef, lamb, seafood till things settle.

    hope this helps.
